What a credit buys
One balance, two things to spend it on, and the rules about expiry.
Credits are the only currency on TractionAtlas. One balance covers both things you can do here, so you never have to guess which wallet a purchase comes out of.
Two things to spend on
Unlocking a report version. The price depends on how recent the version is — the current month costs the most, last month less, anything older least of all. The price is fixed when the version is published, so a later change to the ladder never reprices something you already bought.
Running fresh research. Ask for a company that is not in the library yet and a research run is queued. It costs considerably more than an unlock, because it is the work rather than the copy of the work.
What is free
Quite a lot, deliberately:
- The full library, every filter and every ranked list
- The headline numbers on every company — revenue, traffic, growth
- A free preview of every single report
- One complete report, readable end to end, without an account
The preview is a real preview. The fields you cannot read are removed from the response, not hidden with CSS — there is nothing to recover from the network tab. What you see is what is actually free.
Expiry, and why it works this way
Credits included with a subscription expire at the end of each billing period. Credits bought in a one-time pack never expire.
When you spend, the credits closest to expiring go first. This is not an accounting detail — it is the rule that keeps the two kinds fair. If packs drained first, your monthly allowance would quietly lapse unused and you would have lost credits you had already paid for.
A pack bought today therefore sits behind every monthly allowance you receive between now and whenever you spend it, and waits.
Cancelling
An unlock is permanent and belongs to that version of that report. Cancelling a subscription stops future allowances; it does not take back anything you unlocked, at any point, ever.
